Meet Amos. Amos may not yet be famous with ASCZ, but we are going to do our very best to get him there! Amos is an 8 mo beautiful male Great Pyrenees/Red Heeler. He is 72lbs now, so will be a large size adult dog when he is full grown. He is currently living in a foster home in TX and is ready to find his forever home in New England. Amos spends his days in TX living with 2 kids, other dogs, chickens and mini goats. He gets along great with the mini goats, kids and other dogs, but likes to chase the chickens because he thinks they are a tasty snack, so his forever home should be chicken free! Although Amos is great with his human foster siblings, we think he would be best placed in a home with children 8 and older as he doesn’t always know his own size. As with most every Great Pyr, Amos would like a fenced yard where he can run and play and bark at leaf ninjas when the wind blows.
Amos knows his basic commands already but is not quite house trained yet, so he will need a patient adopter willing to continue with potty training. He is still a young boy and will learn quickly. Amos is happy and playful, but he also craves time with his “person”. He loves to go on walks and is pretty good on a leash too!
