Ralph

Hi my name is Ralph and I am a 2 year old 65lb Hound/ maybe golden mix? I was a happy puppy living in a home in TX with parents and a human brother until one day I was dropped off at another home that was not mine and left there. I had never been in any other home or with any other people before and I was scared and unhappy. It took me a couple of weeks to understand my owners did not want me and I was not going back there and had to get used to the fact that I was going to get a new home and family soon. My foster mom is so nice and has been very patient with me while I settled in. I have 2 foster dog siblings in my new home and it took me a couple of days to get used to them, but now they are my besties. I am a smart boy and know many commands. I am leash trained and loved to go on walks and hikes. I am also house trained and crate trained although I do not need to be crated. As you can see from my pictures, I mostly just enjoy sleeping in the sun all day! Since I am a hound, I do bark when I see woodland creatures or another dog, but it is because I get so excited! And I have to admit to having chased a cat or two in my day so I probably would do best in a no cat household. I have also been training for the Olympics and can jump a 5′ fence but it is usually just to see a squirrel or chipmunk on the other side. My ideal forever home would be someone willing to be patient with me as I settle into my new home. I would also love a yard to play in and a family who likes to run, hike or walk every day as those are my favorite things to do.

I am currently in a foster home in New England and my bags are packed waiting for my new home! If you are interested in adopting me, or meeting me, please email Darcy@asecondchanceforziva.com or fill out an application at www.asecondchanceforziva.com
